Location Unknown Description The Board of Directors of the National Association of Hospital Hospitality Houses (NAHHH) is accepting applications for the position of Executive Director.

Requirements EDUCATION AND/OR TRAINING:

Hospitality and/or House Administration required

House Inc. (located in Durham, NC) has provided a home-like atmosphere to more than 7,000 cancer patients and their caregivers as they receive outpatient treatment at the Duke
Comprehensive Cancer Center. Caring House is looking for a new Executive Director. The ideal candidate will share the Caring House vision of

Requirements We seek a service leader with exceptional communication skills and
3-5 yrs exper. pref'd. Bachelor's degree required.
Medical degree not req'd. Years of firsthand experience raising money and developing donor relations is a must. Candidates with strong events background welcomed. Career exper. with
a nonprofit organization is preferred.

Position Hope Lodge Evening Manager Location Boston, MA Description Job Description
FLSA Status: Exempt
Position Summary:
Responsible for the operations of Hope Lodge during late-afternoon and evening hours. Provides assistance and support to guests, their family members and caregivers as appropriate. Ensures facility maintenance and safety at all times.
Responsibilities:
Must be available at the Lodge for all of the hours assigned (3:00 p.m. – 11:00 pm Sunday through Thursday).
Maintains the safety and comfort of guests as a primary focus. Provides assistance/support to guests, their families, and care givers, and ensures that a warm, safe, supportive environment is maintained and the needs of guests are met.
Files necessary reports of operations (Seibel and Epitome), conducts maintenance and security checks while not working directly with guests. Assists in maintaining necessary Lodge records, including registration, payment and financial records, inventory records of food and supplies, delivery and service records, etc., as directed by the Director and Assistant Manager.
Maintains visibility and availability to guests to ensure the highest quality of service is provided.
Facilitates the admission of any guest arriving after regular office hours.
Determines the need for medical intervention when the situation arises.
Answers phone calls and/or directs as appropriate.
Supervises cleaning and maintenance personnel as needed, and purchases cleaning supplies as necessary. Assists with housekeeping and maintenance duties as needed. Oversees that guests perform light housekeeping duties as expected of them.
Scans Lodge and surrounding environment for breaches or threats to safety including fire hazards, local crime, traffic and severe weather, including clearing snow and treating ice as needed. Reports any functional or maintenance problems to Hope Lodge Director.
Assists with communication of Lodge issues or other relevant information to Night Manager who arrives at 11:00pm.
Recommends changes as appropriate.
Responsible for trash and recycling.
Maintains security at all times, assuring that doors are locked at 10:00 p.m.
Other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
Requirements Minimum Knowledge/Skills Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Nursing, Public Health, Hospitality or related field, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
One to three years of experience in hospitality, human services, social work or community outreach, preferably in a residential setting.
Ability to remain composed under stress and to handle self in a professional manner at all times.
Commitment to excellent customer service, both internally and externally.
Ability to respond to changing circumstances and priorities in a focused manner.
Utilizes available technology to perform position responsibilities. Manages resources effectively and efficiently.
Other Requirements:
Must be able to lift and carry at least 25 pounds.
Strong computer skills; familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and Lotus Notes preferred.
May be required to drive/transport guests and/or volunteers on an as-needed basis.
Relationships:
Reports to the Hope Lodge Assistant Manager and Director.
